READ THE ROMANCE
THE PERFECT PAIR
In the hearts of Newcastle Charlotte and Matthew met on a spontaneous night out on the dance floor. After a year of long distance they had their first date in Tynemouth. Six years later they were married!
When it came to their proposal, on their five year anniversary Matthew took charlotte back to Tynemouth where they spent their first date. His ideal proposal at the end of the pier didn't go to plan as three fisherman drinking cans of beer killed his romantic setting idea. So on the walk back down the pier, Matthew found a quite spot and ceased the opportunity - they celebrated with bubbles and good food!
SETTING THE SCENE
Discovering the ideal venue is crucial for a perfect wedding. Charlotte and Matthew were recommended to visit Wynyard Hall and Spa and as soon as they drove up the gates they were in awe of the grounds, the building and the whole atmosphere. Wynyard soon became their go to venue for many celebrations therefore they knew it was always the perfect venue for their wedding.
The fabulous entrance, the long drive through the grounds to the hall, the heritage, the opulent decor in every room that makes you feel like a character in Pride & Prejudice (or Bridgeton for most), the stunning views, the insanely impressive rooms for you and your guests to stay in.
WE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE VENUE TO ANY COUPLES LOOKING FOR THAT 'WOW' REACTION FROM THEIR GUESTS...AND FOR THEMSELVES! CHARLOTTE, THE BRIDE
The theme of their day was based around the colour palette charlotte had chosen - Olive green, forest green, sage green, blush pink and a hint of ivory- chosen from her love for plants. The outdoor ceremony overlooking the lake and the rolling hills complimented this perfectly.
SERVING THE LOOKS
Charlotte had the perfect dress in her head but when trying it on it just didn't feel right. She tried on every style possible and in the end went for a completely different, unique dress with a pop of colour. When she visited Accent Original in Newcastle, her eyes were drawn to the Q'Nique range with colours shed never seen on a wedding dress before. To compliment the pastels in the dress, and as an ode to her Mum’s handmade veil from the 70’s, she decided to have silk pastel flowers stitched into the veil.
Charlotte started to look for a second dress - just something simple and easy to move in. She found her second dress online from an Australian brand called Meshki, and this slick silk showstopper was an ideal evening getup.
