BABY, ITS YOU

Tom and Georgia met at The Dial - a popular restaurant in Burton where Georgia worked behind the bar. Fast forward a few years and she had pulled more than a pint, with Tom as her new beau and a beautiful baby to call their own. The proposal was as cute as you can get, with Tom having a personalised baby grow made for their newborn to wear at Hardwick Hall in 2017.

CANCELLATION STATIONS

With their dream day under blue skies on the white aisle in their sights, COVID put their Ibiza wedding plans into disarray and the ever-changing travel rules meant they had to cancel not once, but twice.

Until one afternoon Georgia stumbled across Cripps & Co’s announcement of a new venue in Ashborne, ten minutes from their home. “That was it, no flights needed!”

The pair viewed the venue off-plan back in October 2020 with just a building site to visualise, but with the promise of a modern luxe fairytale venue and the stature of the group’s other venues, Tom and Georgia were sold.

WE FELL IN LOVE WITH IT MORE AND MORE, EVERY PICTURE THEY POSTED ON INSTAGRAM. THE FIRST TIME WE SAW IT FINISHED WAS ON OUR WEDDING DAY, AND IT WAS UNBELIEVABLE.

GEORGIA, THE BRIDE

When asked if they’d recommend the venue, Georgia’s answer is pretty telling: “Yes, yes, yes and YES!”

MONOCHROME MINIMALISM

Letting the rustic beauty of Grangefields do the talking their day was styled with minimal elegance, with just a touch of greenery lining the aisle, tables and some candles for that much-loved ambience.

Blacks, whites and metallics made for a colour scheme of dreams. This was stylish simplicity of the highest order.

PICTURE POETRY

Tasked with photographing their day was Andrew from A Big Neon Glitter, his cinematic approach aligned with Georgia and Tom’s aesthetic perfectly.

Fleeting moments, laughs, dances, twilight sparklers – Andrew caught every part of their dream day and made each image tell a story of its own.

Q&A

How did you feel as you walked down the aisle?

Emotional. I cried alllllll the way down the aisle (tom cried too cos he’s a big softie!) I think I just couldn’t believe it was actually happening - it was such a strange feeling all day, almost like I wasn’t really there!

Out of 10, how involved was your partner in the planning process? (answer honestly!)

Minus 10.

What’s your funniest memory from the day?

I complained all day about how uncomfortable my pants were, only to take my dress off when I went to bed, to find I’d been wearing them back to front all day!

And the most special?

Having all our loved ones all together FIIIINALLY after the longest two years!

Favourite image and why?

The picture of Me, Tom and Oscar holding the sparklers (it’s the only picture we got of the three of us - Oscar ran around all day, we barely saw him!)

Biggest word of advice to newly engaged couples?

IT’S WORTH THE STRESS. AND DON’T RUSH GETTING DRESSED AS YOU MIGHT PUT YOUR PANTS ON BACK TO FRONT!
