SCHOOL SWEETHEARTS

As two primary school teachers, Sophie and Tom found love in the only way that makes sense – at the annual staff Christmas night out. This led to many awkward encounters with one another in the corridors, but Tom finally plucked up the courage to ask Sophie on a date and they began their dream love story. One lesson learned – always trust your gut.

When it came to the proposal, the story is quite a poignant one given recent events. Tom managed to drag Sophie on a walk across Hadrian's Wall (he says she moaned all the way) and they finally arrived at the iconic Sycamore Gap tree, where Tom got down on one knee and popped the question – one of the many couples who have put down roots on their romance in this magical spot that is sadly no longer with us.

THE RUNA TOUCH

Sophie and Tom knew exactly what they were looking for to represent their modern matrimony. Runa Farm was the perfect reflection of them – rustic-cross-contemporary vibes, *that* dramatically glamourous staircase with all the impact and a group of hard-working, friendly staff that made sure their day went off to a T. This Guest List Venue was complimented by the vivid English blooms provided by our floral fanatic Guest Lister, Nomad Flower Den.

Runa Farm provided the ultimate blank canvas for this joyful duo's day to come to fruition. The pops of colour contrasted with the rustic neutral aesthetic perfectly, proving you can really make your day here your own - whatever the theme. The party flowed seamlessly across the spaces, from the outside terrace to the main reception room and into the bohemian-style bar for a beautiful celebration where everyone is together.

This wedding was Guest List galore, with Blue Bow Bridal providing Sophie’s dreamy dress. This was the first dress Sophie spotted in the shop and she knew from that moment that this was THE dress. Sophie wanted something she would feel comfortable in all day, the girls at Blue Bow Bridal recommended a fitted bodice that hugged her in all the right places and a floaty skirt to ensure Sophie could sashay the night away.

WALKING HAND IN HAND OUTSIDE. TIME ALONE WAS IMPORTANT TO ENJOY THE DAY AND TAKE IT ALL IN.

Sophie and Tom had the magic touch, with magician Tom Bolton who blew away all of their guests with some true card artistry. A picture speaks 1000 words.
