READ THE ROMANCE...

They tied the knot in the city's famous St Nicholas Cathedral, before swanning off down the iconic streets for a dreamy photoshoot and following with a fabulous evening party at The Boiler Shop.

Gemma fell in love with this venue for what is already was. The original features of the building, exposed brickwork and the wooden beams framing the ceiling made Gemma and Shaun know that this was the ONE. The open plan of the space allowing the dance floor to flow into the bar area made it perfect for a comfortable wedding for everyone to enjoy themselves. The morning of, Gemma chose to getting pampered and ready on the mezzanine to relish in the natural sunlight and she said “it was just so perfect!”.

BRIDE Q&A

How did you pick the perfect photographer to capture your day?
I had met Lee at one of my friends weddings. He was different to any of the other photographers I had met. I loved his style!! He was so fun and easy to be around.

LEE HAS A NATURAL GIFT OF BEING ABLE TO PUT ANYONE AT EASE AND BRING A SMILE TO THEIR FACE. HE CAPTURED OUR DAY PERFECTLY AND WE CAN’T THANK HIM ENOUGH! WE LOVE YOU LEE!

Who gets the gold medal in the wedding olympics for helping make your day amazing?
We couldn’t pick one person, all of our guests made it so special. My bridesmaid Caroline travelled half way around the world from Thailand to be by my side which was amazing!
Out of 10, how involved was your partner in the planning process? (answer honestly!)
2! He only had two things to do….organise the suits and turn up on the day!
What’s your funniest memory from the day?
Richard’s best man speech and the questionable tattoo on his butt cheek.
If you could bottle one special moment of your day to keep forever and relive whenever you needed it most, what would that moment be?
When we first seen each other when I was walking down the aisle. We were both so nervous until that point and then we couldn’t stop smiling and laughing at each other. That could have been due to the copious amounts of champagne I had drank that morning. Thank god for Lee's snacks to soak up the alcohol, haha!
Favourite image and why?
We love the one of Shaun and I with the children outside of the cathedral.
What was your first dance song?
