A SLICK STYLE MOMENT AT BRIDGFORD HALL
REAL WEDDING
THE COUPLE WHO HAD TWO...
Before they jetted off to Florence for their main wedding, Katie and Rich wanted a legal ceremony back home to have a little fun with. They did it with aplomb, gathering their closest friends and family at Bradford Hall in Nottingham for a beautiful ceremony and reception styled to perfection with punches of pink and slick, unassuming fashion.

I DIDN’T FEEL WE NEEDED TO ADD ANYTHING. THE ROOMS AND CHARACTER OF THE VENUE WERE JUST SO LOVELY.
KATIE, THE BRIDE

After a big of research, Katie and Rich stumbled upon Bridgford Hall and found it was so much more than your average registry office. With huge high ceilings, period baroque features and stunning gardens, the settings ticked all their laidback nuptial boxes and they signed on the dotted line, before knowing Katie’s parents actually got married there 30 years ago.”It felt like fate,” she said.
SIMPLE STYLE
For their fashion choices, the couple kept things lowkey. Rich donned a divine tweed blazer from The Kooples, completing a tonal brown getup that mirrored a James Brown of yesteryear.
While for Katie, after ordering what felt like every single white dress on the internet, her heart was stolen with a limited edition white blazer dress from Zara with statement bow back detail. She paired it with a pair of gold killer Aquazurra heels.
FLORAL LOVE
Adding some botanical beauty was a bouquet of coral peonies, plump, pretty and picture-perfect.

LISA AT FLEURS AND FLEUR IS ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT AT WHAT SHE DOES. SHE NAILED THE BRIEF.
KATIE, THE BRIDE
Lowkey love-in was clearly the order of the day, and following their gorgeous ceremony the party moved to nearby The Botanist for grazing food and cocktails. A fitting day to round off this day before the Florence dream came into full flow.
THE ITALIAN DREAM...
Q&A
Who gets the gold medal in the wedding olympics for helping make your day amazing?
My amazing friends who sent me some gorgeous gifts the morning of the wedding to make me feel like a ‘proper’ bride.
How did you feel as you walked down the aisle?
Slightly flustered as I realised last minute (as I was looking down at my awkward arms!) that I had left my bouquet in the car! After a last minute dash, I felt quite emotional walking down the aisle and I know it meant a lot to my Dad.

Out of 10, how involved was your partner in the planning process? (answer honestly!)
1, I had to remind him of the date multiple times haha!
Sum up your whole wedding experience in three words.
Why have one (we’re lucky we got two!)
Biggest word of advice to newly engaged couples?
Don’t sweat the small stuff and don’t leave the bulk of your planning for the last minute - we made that mistake and the last couple of weeks before got quite stressful when they really didn’t need to be…
