When covid scuppered their original wedding plans, Megan and Tom decided that as the rain falls mainly on the plain, sunny Spain would ease their pandemic pain. That it did, at the beautiful B Bou Cortijo Bravo Hotel in Nerja.
Having visited many times with friends and family over the years, this couple didn’t think twice when picking their wedding destination. Nerja is a special place to Megan and Tom and the B Bou hotel ticked all of their boxes for the vibrant, modern venue they were looking for.
With a gorgeous outdoor pergola area, the couple said yes beneath blissful blue skies before heading to the private terrace for a slap up meal and all the formalities.
B BOU-BEAUTIFUL
If you’re thinking an overseas wedding means mass stress and hot, bothered, well, bother – think again. The wedding planner at B Bou, Paula, ensured everything was looked after meticulously, from the styling and song choices to the food, drink and merriment. This was overseas weddings done well.
The vibe was classy and elegant, with crisp whites and fresh greens creating this oh-so-pretty setting. Eucalyptus, white roses and gypsophila complimented the sage green bridesmaids dresses perfectly, while the groomsmen dazzled in dapper beige suits and sage green ties.
I WOULD 1000000% RECOMMEND. WE CAN'T RECOMMEND ENOUGH! THE VIEWS ARE JUST INCREDIBLE AND FOR YOUR GUESTS TO BE SAT NOT ONLY WATCHING YOU GET MARRIED BUT ALSO TAKING IN THE SURROUNDINGS IS JUST AMAZING. I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS VENUE, FROM THE HOTEL DÉCOR TO THE WEDDING BANQUET AREA WHICH IS ALL OUTSIDE WHERE YOU CAN WATCH THE SUNSET AS YOU’RE HAVING YOUR MEAL. WE CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK FOR OUR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY AND STAY IN THE HOTEL AND HOPEFULLY SPY ON SOMEONE ELSE GETTING MARRIED THERE!

For Megan, the journey to her dream dress was simpler than most. On her first day dress shopping, she visited Laura Day Bridal in Stokesley to find her perfect Pronovias number, a stunning sleek sleeveless silhouette with floral embellishment. Simplistic, stylish and sublimely paired with a floor-length veil. 10/10.
BRIDE Q&A
How did you feel as you walked down the aisle?
All my worries and nerves went the minute i stood at the top of the aisle and saw Tom standing there. I could not take the smile off my face as I knew I was walking towards my forever.
Food menu?
Caesar salad to start, fillet steak and salmon for main, chocolate and toffee pudding for desert.
What’s your funniest memory from the day?
When our little boy stripped all his clothes off, changed into his shorts and pulled out his best dance moves on the dance floor! He was absolutely dripping with sweat but living his best life!
If you could bottle one special moment of your day to keep forever and relive whenever you needed it most, what would that moment be?
Walking into our wedding banquet after our photos to all our guests on their feet swinging their napkins in the air to "Sunshine - TIEKS". The song gives me goosebumps. Everyone was so happy and I have never felt so much love in the air.
