Crayke Manor: Hannah and Nabil's Fun-Filled Celebration

DATE

From meeting on Hannah's first day at university, to having to spend some time living apart. Hannah and Nabil proved that absence really does make the heart grow fonder. On New Years' Eve Hannah was greeted by Nabil and a house strewn with rose petals and candles and their engagement was set not soon after.

The Venue

''The house itself is like a piece of art.'' - Hannah

It wasn't only the stunning interior of Crayke Manor that had the bride and groom besotted, but outside of the house itself the barn and grounds were stunning and worked as the ideal blank canvas for Hannah and Nabil to put their own stamp on their wedding day. For example, in lieu of the traditional wedding breakfast, the couple enjoyed fish and chips, followed by crepes, doughnuts and of course cake!

Paletted in navy and burgundy, the bride and groom hung origami butterflies from above and adorned the rest of the space with fairy lights and candles to create an eclectically romantic atmosphere.

Fashion Fusion

When it came to picking a gown for the big day Hannah found that a lot of the ones she loves on the hanger weren't quite her style when they were on. She found herself leaning towards the less traditional designs.

In the end Hannah walked the aisle in a bespoke two-piece whose silhouette gave a nod to the traditional Asian lengha, while still having a thoroughly modern and chic feel.

''It was so comfortable and easy to dance in, too!'' - Hannah

Relaxed and Full of Laughter

''There are some lovely photos of us laughing during the speeches and some of the dance moves had me in stitches.'' - Hannah

Throughout the entire wedding celebrations, the laid back atmosphere and constant laughter means that the bride and groom couldn't pick out one moment that stood out to them as their best.

The Bride's Advice

''Go with your gut.'- Hannah

With Hannah and Nabil both being from two different cultural backgrounds they said that there were some differences in opinions, but at the end of the day they came together to create a wedding day which made a statement and celebrated them as a couple.
