Rustic Romances

Jenny and Ben first met on a night out with mutual friends, and their whirlwind romance reached a high while on holiday in Cyprus when Ben popped the question in the most magical of settings.

Wishing for a laid back rustic affair, the couple began planning their dream day – and Holdsworth House in Halifax really stood out as the friendly, country characterful destination they were looking for.

 The history of the venue really made it special for us, and we knew it would be somewhere we'd like to keep visiting in the future. We would definitely recommend it to others looking for a wedding venue.

Traditional Taste

When it came to decor, the couple stayed true to tradition. Their reception room, with overhead oak beams and a warming ambience, was decked out in natural whites, with little details like tree-stump centrepieces and raw card designs helping to epitomise their natural nuptial vision.

While outside was a celebration of colour, as guests milled in the manicured gardens with ice cold tipples and tonnes of chit chat.

A Gown of Nostalgia

Jenny dazzled in a beautiful Kenneth Wilson gown, with intricate embroidery detailing and a heavenly halter neck creating a traditional touch of elegance.

This was the only decision hubby Ben wasn’t involved in – with the groom throwing himself into every part of the planning process. Just what we like to hear!

Prettiest Pictures

Kristie was recommended by a few friends who she had photographed weddings for. As soon as we met her we felt at ease and she listened to everything we said. She really understood what kind of photography we wanted, and we love the photos!

Following their joy-filled day, the couple jetted off to South Africa and Mauritius for the honeymoon of a lifetime.
