Kate and John’s Wondrous Wintry Day of Love
REAL WEDDING
Read the Romance...
When this duo met in a bar in Saltaire, it was love at first sight.
John was chatting about how great his nieces were, Kate was listening intently, and the cogs began turning and suggesting this just might be the man she’s been waiting for all along. A flurry of dates followed, and they fell deeply in love before John popped the question one Christmas Day morning.

Classically Refined
Opting for the enviable Rudding Park in Harrogate as their venue, Kate and John were enamoured by the hotel’s charm and character and decided it would be perfect homely haven to tie the knot in. Their day adopted a classic theme with modern twists, making a wintry wonderland with subtle nods to Christmas at every corner.
Twinkling lights, magical trees, warm welcomes – it was the perfect intimate setting to bring all their guests out of the cold and into the love.

RUDDING HAS AN IMPRESSIVE FAÇADE BUT IT WAS THE MODERN INTIMACY INSIDE THAT CAUGHT OUR EYE.
FULL OF OLD FEATURES WITHOUT BEING OVERPOWERING, AND A MAGNIFICENT TEAM WHO MADE SURE EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT.

Feel-Good Festivities
In the run up to the wedding, Kate collected Christmas ornaments that represented each day of the ’12 days of Christmas’ rhyme and asked the florist to include them in the table arrangements.
BELLE LOVES:
Another little (fairly big) nod to the festive season came in the form of John’s speech, where he got everyone up on their feet for a sing-a-long to the 12 days of Christmas. Short of a partridge in a pear tree, John’s best man stepped in and sent the room into raptures as he returned wearing a pigeon costume!
Pretty Pictures for Daze
In charge of capturing the day was our Guest List goldie Daze Photography, who also doubled up as a videographer to provide the couple with the perfect wedding package.
Wanting someone who could capture the personal moments as well as the more traditional shots, Kate and John were chuffed with the result – an album of relaxed, love-stricken images that depict the day in all its divine details, and a highlights film reel to cherish forever.
The Dress
Surprisingly, this bride only had to visit one boutique on her dress hunt. Unsurprisingly, it was the widely-renowned Bridal Rogue Gallery in Harrogate. Store assistant Aggie made the experience a breeze, and found her the perfect fit – a San Patrick number with elegant illusion lace sleeves and a spectacular tulle skirt.

NUPTIAL NOTES:
Breathless by Nick Cave
“It’s one of our favourite songs but isn’t widely known.”
For who gets the gold medal in the wedding Olympics for making their day amazing, there’s no doubt in Kate’s answer.
“The Rudding Park staff. Everything ran smoothly, and I’m sure if anything had gone wrong, we’d have been none the wiser.”
Another angel in disguise was Kate’s sister Grace, who took on the role of personal wedding planner, dealing with all the delicate details and taking the stress away from her sister and brother-in-law to be. Following their magnificent day filled with joy, happiness, fantastic food and a whole lot of love, the pair jetted off to Rejakivik in Iceland for a winter honeymoon to lap up the love in luxury. Sounds like our cup of tea!
Word From the Bride

DON'T STRESS ABOUT SMALL STUFF. NO ONE WILL NOTICE IF SOMETHING ISN'T QUITE RIGHT.
GO WITH WHAT YOU WANT AND WHAT REFLECTS YOU AS A COUPLE. NOT ALL THE TRADITIONS ARE GOING TO NECESSARILY FIT INTO YOUR DAY.
