House of Savin established its brand in 2010 and has since become globally recognised as both an influential and progressive bridal atelier. Head designer Andrey is known for his intricate hand painted gowns, delicate shaping and stunning floral embellishment.

The introduction of the luxury Savin Prive collection in 2022 heralded a collection that embraced extremes, crisp and graphic lines in Italian crepe cosying up to the drama of 3d florals and exaggerated volume.

Where are your pieces made?

All of our pieces are crafted, designed and produced in London using techniques associated with contemporary couture. At House of Savin, we pride ourselves on our incredible team of embroiderers, seamstresses and finishers. For our hand painted gowns, we utilise the talents of a portfolio of artists in Milan and Lake Como, Italy.

We traverse the globe sourcing the elite of fabrics including Italian crepes, silks, jacquards, embroidered tulles, beaded laces, 3d florals, hand-painted fabrics and organzas

Kindling’s modern take on romance is evident in the new Move Mountains range, which comprises an array of super-fresh gowns and separates. Made-to-order at the independent brand’s Yorkshire HQ, the collection embodies a woman-led, free-spirited feel that puts the bride at the core of everything, from its high-quality fabrics and slow fashion approach to bespoke styling and customisable options. It’s an authentic, heartfelt approach that resonates with tomorrow’s brides-to-be, and that we predict will be an Instagram sensation.

Modernity was also on Katy Britton’s mood board for 2024. With an array of eco and GOTS-certified silks used, the designer’s commitment to responsible production makes her new collection, which exudes a retro-modern bohemian glamour, even more impressive. We love the sexy cut-outs, filmy chiffon and Mikado ruffles.

Also flying the flag for ethical fabrics and inclusivity, E&W Couture’s showroom rack features an array of vegan-friendly samples in sizes 4 to 28, with unlimited made-to-order sizing available upon consultation. 2024’s State of Mind line features a dizzying array of edgy crop tops, flowing skirts and glitzy overlay gowns, however, the Welsh label’s earlier ranges remain evergreen, with effortless slips, separates and shimmery embellishments. Milla – It just oozes romance. It’s modern in a romantic print yet refined and still very bridal. Its voluminous and dramatic, yet light to wear in a Italian mikado silk, with optional sleeves and a bow to allow the bride to add their own style.

How you choose fabrics to work with? As a designer, why do you think a bride must care about the cut and fabric of her gown?

Luxury is about a feeling as much as a look, which is how I choose the fabrics. They are also lightweight to allow movement and generous layers, which gives an extra element of elegance and sophistication.

A top trend you can see emerging in bridal fashion in 2024?

Corsetry – women are beginning to see and feel the benefits of a fully constructed gown again, as well as appreciating the beauty of a simple gown, cut well and enhanced by a beautifully cut corset.

What’s next for Josephine Scott as a brand?

We’re launching our new label very soon, Avenue by Josephine Scott, which has a very different look – modern dresses for adventurous brides. On a personal level, I just want to continue creating dream gowns that make brides feel and look like a queen on their special day.

Long before she became a Master Designer, decades before she was the founder and CEO of ZB Couture, Zahra Batool was just another little girl with big dreams and even bigger talent. Growing up in Pakistan, there was nothing that made Zahra happier than a box full of crayons or a few bottles of paint. As a result, she spent hours upon hours creating beautiful pictures and fantasising about becoming a real artist when she grew up.

Sustainability At The Core

Each ZB Couture gown is made with high-end luxury fabrics that are made from natural fibres. The vast majority of the fabric they use is silk. In cutting the fabric, they always plan the layout to minimise waste. Any waste that is created in the making of one dress is refashioned into other items, or used to test design concepts and swatch paints for future projects.

We caught up with Zahra at NYBFW 2023 to find out a little more about her collections of wedding dresses and occasion wear..

Tell us a little bit about ZB Couture and your Inception as a Brand?

OUR GOWNS ARE CREATED FOR THE BRIDE WITH A SINGULAR FASHION VISION, LOOKING TO STAND OUT IN A SEA OF STARK WHITE.

What was the Inspiration Behind your Latest Pieces?

The timeless elegance of ‘peonies’ inspired my latest collection, ‘Symphony of peony’. With luxurious textures and intricate details, the peony is blended with European architectural elements. From delicate buds to flowers in full bloom, every stage of the peony is beautifully captured and hand painted on luxurious silk fabrics, in subtle hues of blush, pink, gold, pearl, and wispy shades of blue.

What are your Favourite Materials to Work with?

My favourite material to work with is Silk. All of my three collections showcase the vast variety and ranges of silk fabrics.

Do you Design Wedding Dresses with Inclusive Sizing?

We are a size inclusive women's clothing brand, as we believe that beauty comes in all sizes and shapes.

Describe your Gown's Style in Three Words...

What makes a ZB Couture Wedding Gown Standout from the Crowd?
