Versatile Ceremony Spaces

The beauty of Matfen Hall is that there’s a wealth of wedding suites to choose from. The grand, theatrical space of the Great Hall provides the most spectacular backdrop for wedding ceremonies and features: a spectacular original oak ceiling, sensitively highlighted with LED lights and suspended contemporary orbs. This is all finished with bespoke gold ring seats and stained-glass windows. This space can also be used for wedding breakfasts, or elements of an evening reception.

Leading from the Great Hall is Sir Edward’s Bar – a sumptuous cocktail lounge that provides a relaxing and entertaining space for guests. Perfect for wedding breakfasts is The Terrace suite, which overlooks the manicured gardens and golf course.

Originally the cellars of this historical stately home, The Vault Bar and Cloisters provide the perfect space for evening celebrations. This unique and truly interesting area allows couples to dance the night away and party with guests until the early hours.
