Durham Wedding Photographer Wins Multiple Awards

DATE 19 September 2018

Since launching in 2017 Ray of Sawyer and Sawyer Photography has delivered more than 20,000 (20139 to be exact) images to his happy couples, garnered a huge social media following and won multiple awards.

This year alone Ray has won seven Weddison Awards and four awards from www.SLRlounge.com. “I submit my images for awards every month. Most months I win one, but this August I won three awards, which blew my mind!”

The Weddison Awards held by www.wedisson.com is an international wedding photography contest, which holds wedding photography competitions every month. The results are published every month online and on Instagram, and less than 10% of all the photographs submitted are chosen. “So far I have won seven Weddison Awards and a few awards from www.SLRlounge.com. I’ve won both Ascent Awards and Summit Awards from SLRlounge.com – Ascent Awards are the top 3-5% of images submitted and Summit Awards are the top 2-3% of images submitted.”

“These type of images I create later in the wedding evening during what I call a ‘sneak out,’ where we literally sneak out of the reception for 10 minutes to create these photos. I love attending every wedding with a chance to create an award-winning image and something my clients would love and potentially hang on their wall.”

“I love to travel the UK creating EPIC portraits of people in love!”

Sawyer and Sawyer Photography is also in the running to win Best Yorkshire & North East Photographer in the Newcomer category at The Wedding Industry Awards. “Should I win regional I will then attend the National finals in January in London where I could win Newcomer Photographer of the Year, which, of course, would be amazing.”

Ray offers a relaxed style of wedding photography combined with a true passion for capturing special, precious and spontaneous moments. Those moments of true emotion that will bring back happy memories for years to come. He provides a flexible wedding photography service throughout the UK and can be booked anywhere from three weeks to three years, in advance. “I offer a high-quality service at affordable prices. I would describe my style of photography as lifestyle/ photojournalistic with a splash of creative and artistic appeal.”
