HERE COME THE GIRLS...

From boss businesswomen to captivating creatives, these ladies are killing the game – surpassing expectations and setting the bar for brilliance in their respected specialisms – and we are saluting them today.

Victoria Abrahams, Linda Abrahams & Co

If you’ve kept a keen eye on the What About Weddings movement that has highlighted the need for assistance and clarity for our industry during the pandemic, you’ll know about Linda Abrahams & Co.

These Leeds-based planning and styling enthusiasts have championed the cause of the campaign from the very beginning, sharing the developments religiously and sharing a huge amount of motivational, inspirational content.

Owner Victoria has worked tirelessly bringing this campaign to the attention of the wedding industry as well as trying to maintain her own business during the pandemic.

Charlotte Burton, Charlotte Elizabeth Bridal

Opening a business in the midst of a pandemic is no mean feat, but the challenge didn’t deter Charlotte Burton, owner of brand new Derby boutique Charlotte Elizabeth Bridal.

This chic new shop in Matlock has been transformed from an old post office into a beautiful bridal oasis, stocking some immaculate designs from brands we absolutely adore, like Nicole Milano and White One.

It’s all at the hands of Charlotte who has spent months dedicating and applying herself to her new venture.

Dani Hesketh, Y.A.P Bridal and Sisters of Grace

Dani Hesketh, owner at the ultimate palace of pretty Y.A.P Bridal in Newcastle, much like Charlotte saw her imagination soar during lockdown.

She has set up a sister brand to the already hugely popular Y.A.P, called Sisters of Grace – a luxe, hip new bridal studio catered to providing boho beauty for the free-spirited babes.

Think gorgeous accessories, floaty frocks and plenty of Insta-opportunist brickwork backdrops.

It’s set to open spring 2021 and Dani should be very proud, managing to smash their brand identity while overseeing an incredibly busy calendar of re-scheduling at Y.A.P.

Laura, Laura Jayne Design

After going full time last summer with her wedding stationery and planning business, Laura has decided over lockdown to diversify her offering and provide a truly trendy new brand for brides.

The new business is going to be luxury-feel wedding stationery ranges, which are pre-designed but customisable in different colourways and choice of print finish.

It will also be the new home for her greetings cards, prints and various other pretty things.

Then, Laura Jayne Design will be exclusively freelance, branding and service-based business. Diversity is key, and Laura is showing she's more than adaptable.

Laura, Peony and Gold Floral Design

Laura from Peony and Gold has been serving us floral finery all pandemic long.

These award-winning wedding florists boast a magical portfolio of work, which we have loved browsing on lazy Sunday afternoons over a glass of vino – bringing a bit of light when we needed it most.

“Sometimes we focus on the big things. But the small things can be amazing too. I think this applies to all areas of life at the moment.”– well said, Laura!

Fiona, Great British Bash

Ideas are the lifeblood of business, and here at Belle, we just love new ones.

North East styling company Great British Bash came up with a fabulous one to keep their business blooming, thanks to their ultra-creative owner Fiona.

BashBloomBox is a new nationwide service from Great British Bash, where they deliver their fabulous faux florals for your wedding or special occasion, and pick them up afterwards.

A hire-and-use concept that will tap into the growing fascination and love of luxury faux floral styling.

Kate Fearnley

When it comes to standout, glorious wedding gowns that almost demand a bow of respect, there’s no comparing the award-winning Kate Fearnley.

This Teeside-based couturier has hit us with her SS21 collection and it includes all the delicate details, airy elegance and fashion-forward fascination that we have become so accustomed to with her delectable designs.

To develop such a gorgeous range of gowns during a pandemic is marvellous work and just goes to show that Covid might have just sparked her creativity.

Oh – and she’s moving into a brand new chic studio where brides can see their dream dress come to life, as well as securing nation-wide stockists of her cool brand.

Chloe, Imaginarium Balloons

Beautiful balloon styling is bang on-trend, and Chloe from Imaginarium Balloon Studio has proven she’s flying above the rest with her latest installations.

Be it a baby shower or an idyllic intimate wedding, her displays have flooded our feed with positive, party vibes.

Sue White, The White Wedding Company

One of the longest standing and reputable wedding planners in the business, Sue White has consistently shown her worth to couples and brides.

Taking the stress away from you on your dream day is something that money can’t buy, and her affable, experienced and assured service, The White Wedding Company, has been a trusted source of security for over 16 years.

A true titan of weddings who deserves to be recognised.

Heather, Alice Elizabeth Bridal

Having had an inherent passion for wedding dresses all her life, Heather, owner at Alice Elizabeth Bridal in Durham, has won many attracting glances for her caring, bespoke bridal service.

Testament to this, the boutique was named a platinum stockist of Enzoani in February, one of the world’s most exclusive bridal labels.

An incredible achievement to reach such a milestone after being forced to close for so long.

Well done, Heather and the AE team!
