After opening our doors to crowds of engaged couples ready with their pens and planners at our iconic Northern Wedding Show, we are easing any remaining wedding woes, helping tick one thing off your to-do list: THE VENUE.
From North East barns to North Yorkshire castles, we have curated a list of our favourite locations for you and your bride or groom to say ‘I do’.
WOODHILL HALL
Multi-award winning, this Georgian Manor house has been lovingly restored creating one of the north East’s most bespoke, contemporary chic venues. A complete blank canvas, Woodhill has 5 separate locations for you to choose from to design a day that is personalised entirely for you and your partner.
Their brand new on-site Santorini esque ceremonial space, The Olive House, is finished with white washed walls and breath-taking floral filled chandeliers. It will blow your wedding out of the water.

Epitomising rustic luxe, The Willows at the Woodmans is a new, exclusive use venue located only 10 minutes from Newcastle City centre. Boasting a welcome reception area, private bar, ceremony room and dining hall, their interiors have been curated to combine natural romantic finishes with ethereal elegance. A statement stone fireplace, dramatic chandeliers and soft finishes create a warm, inviting space with floor-to-ceiling windows adding a breathtaking backdrop to your day. Framing the surrounding moors, you and up to 130 of your guests will be transported away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre.

WHINSTONE VIEW
A purpose built venue for couples and their guests to revel in a wedding weekender, Whinstone View is nestled in the heart of North Yorkshire. Self-contained, Wray’s Barn is the newest luxe addition to this venue. Offering a rustic setting, bursting with charm and character, Wray’s blends in seamlessly with the serene surroundings. Immerse yourself in the barn’s homely, natural romance where ceremony tables stretching the length of the room can seat up to 150 guests. By night, party with your guests on their bespoke wooden dancefloor, before taking the celebrations to their scandi-style hot tubs outside of their lodges.
Take advantage of the on-site three-storey log cabin, Frida, which sleeps eight in cosy yet contemporary luxury. Perfect for a pre-wedding sleepover with your bridesmaids.
ST CHAD'S
The model pupil, St Chad’s is burrowed within the walls of Durham University, and only a stones throw away from the historic cathedral. A totally unique, illustrious North East wedding venue, St Chads is the perfect venue for those worried about the unpredictability of British weather. Distinctive distinction, this charming space has everything all in one place, from the ceremony to the reception, with a sprawling pavilion and a stunning courtyard complete with a peak glass ceiling, you are spoilt by the magic this venue has to offer.
SNEATON CASTLE
After undergoing a major revamp, Sneaton Castle will have all your guests’ heads in a spin. Embodying fairytale romance, this atmospheric North Yorkshire venue couples captivating period features with fashion-forward modern finishes. With a fully-licensed chapel boasting an imposing painted domed ceiling, this is the ultimate marriage moment with natural light from gothic windows flooding the space as you walk down the flagstone floor aisle. Complete with a canopy ceiling with wooden beams, their barn provides all the rustic romance your reception space should offer.

THE MORRITT
Situated only a short drive from the quaint market town of Barnard Castle, a Grade ll listed country house, The Morritt is a classically chic location for your love story. Whether you have 100 or 200 guests, you are guaranteed a day of opulent grandeur, regal romance and historic allure.

THE MORRITT
HALL GARTH HOTEL
Nestled among 70 acres of sweeping rural gardens, complete with weeping willows and romantic kissing bridges, Hall Garth Hotel is a North East venue oozing natural charm. For those seeking a larger celebration space you’ll be spoilt for choice between the Summerson Suite with period feature pillars or the Brafferton Suite seating up to 180 guests.
A perfect option for couples wanting a marriage of old and new, their tipi package adds a rustic bohemian twist to a classic, opulent space.
THE CLARION
With their 4* formula and harmonious blend of relaxed modern furnishings, The Clarion Hotel is perfectly appointed for any style of wedding. Food is not an afterthought with menus carefully curated to foreground regionally sourced produce, which, along with their packages, are reviewed seasonally to keep abreast of wedding trends. For newly engaged couples dreaming of a summer ceremony, their stunning grounds with a private courtyard and pavilion provide a fairytale setting for you to make it official. Catering from 30 to 250, the hotel is totally inclusive and licensed for civil ceremonies.
