INTRODUCTION
Wedding staycations don’t get much more magical than The Tempus. A multi-faceted luxury hotel nestled in the Northumberland countryside, electric style and serious romance intertwine at this superb modern hotspot for contemporary couples positioned perfectly on The Doxford Group's privately owned countryside estate.
From the light-soaked restaurant, The Orangery where seasonal delights are served with passion, to the disco-ball-filled, funky fresh bar and phenomenal luxury bedrooms, this is a place for those who want to discover true tranquillity and the latest trends - with fantastic food and drink to boot.
Taking its name from the Latin translation of the word time, The Tempus is home to 17 individually designed bedrooms, bar and restaurant, The Orangery. Having just opened last year, The Tempus fuses cool interiors with incredible hospitality, adding awesome accommodation to the already glistening wedding offerings available at nearby Doxford Barns and Charlton Hall.
TIME TO SLEEP
Now, couples can sleep multiple guests at their wedding, spread out across The Doxford Group's estate from the cosy country-luxe bedrooms in Pole Barn, Farm Cottage and The Lookout to the sumptuous suites in Farmhouse and the beautiful rooms at The Tempus. On that note, we were bowled over on our last visit – each room is individually designed and seeks to transport their guest into a world of luxury. Touch-tech mood lighting, plush kingsize beds, terrazzo tiles, LUSSO bathtubs, apex windows and all the mod-cons (including Nespresso coffee machines!), this is a staycation experience to remember.
Offering both ground and first-floor ensuite bedrooms, each room will appeal to every one of your guests – from the quirky auntie with a 90s style to the country-loving traditionalist. Bringing your pooch along? No problem, just let the team know as they have dog-friendly accommodation available!

TIPI NIGHTS
The Tipi at The Tempus is a unique event space located on the grounds of The Doxford Group's estate. Styled as a modern and rustic tipi tent, it offers a cozy, atmospheric setting perfect for gatherings, celebrations, or special events, all within the lush landscape of the estate around it.
