I WANTED TO INVOLVE AS MANY MAGNIFICENT WEDDING CREATIVES AS POSSIBLE IN THIS SHOOT. DURING THESE RESTRICTIVE TIMES IT IS IMPORTANT TO SHOWCASE CREATIVITY, WHICH, IN TURN, PROMOTES POSITIVITY.

I asked Stacey at To Be Revealed Styling, one of our online Guest List community members to bring life to this editorial with an initial moodboard. From this, the ideas simply flourished and a textural masterpiece emerged.

Style Notes

Fashionable accents and accessories dominated the style brief, with handmade capes and chokers by Diva Designs complementing the drama and details of Bowen Dryden’s gowns. The brand new Poem collection, featuring Broderie Anglaise leg of mutton sleeved gowns (where the shape of the sleeve is voluminous at the top and tapers tightly to the wrist), brought texture, pureness and incredible silhouettes against the glitteringly beautiful backdrop of the chapel’s altar.

Lizzie of In-a- Gadda-Da-Vida floral design studio built a floral stage at the altar and also archway at the entrance of the chapel which became the main sets for all images, as well as fabulous headpieces and bouquets. Adornments came in the form of vintage fine jewellery from Kendalls Jewellers and on-trend pieces from The Bobby Pin. Awon Golding’s millinery took the sartorial style stakes up another notch with abstract headpieces.

Gabriella, from Gabriella Grace Cakes, crafted a stunning four-tier cake boasting a hand embellished gold crucifix, as well as two smaller cakes and crucifix biscuits (which we consumed straight after the shoot!) Sophie, from Walter and Winnie crafted beautiful Save The Date cards in muted pastels and pink ribbons to complement the colours of the gowns.
