QHotels Reveals The Nation’s Favourite Wedding Photos
A nationwide poll to find the funniest, most heart-warming and romantic wedding photos has revealed the nation’s favourites, following more than 1,000 votes.
Launched by QHotels to celebrate the special moments captured at weddings, the Wedding Photo Awards received over 100 entries across the Best Selfie, Best Loved-up Photo, Best Family Photo and Funniest Photo categories.
Entries spanned a wide range of styles, from the intimate and touching, to the bold and daring, shared by amateur and professional photographers alike.
The winners included Lisa Green from Warrington, whose photos featured a selfie of a woman comically scoffing a huge piece of wedding cake, while being photo-bombed by another guest, and another of a mischievous child sticking her tongue out, scooping Best Selfie and Funniest Photo.
Amy-Louise Sharman from Northamptonshire won Best Family Photo for her colourful panoramic image of the full wedding party.
Colette Clegg from West Yorkshire entered a photo of a bride and groom’s loving embrace as they shared their first dance, winning the Most Loved-up Photo accolade.
QHotels’ Director of Marketing, Claire Rowland, said: “Photos are such an important part of every wedding and we’re seeing couples get more and more creative when it comes to capturing their big day at our hotels.
“We’ve seen a fantastic range of photos entered into our awards, from comically-staged group photographs to stunning black and white imagery. Unsurprisingly, children featured a lot, as did adding elements of humour to familiar wedding photo shots. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed seeing the creativity of brides, grooms and wedding photographers.”
Winners of the awards received prizes such as an overnight stay, spa day and a meal for two at one of QHotels’ award-winning restaurants.
