Originally from Sunderland, Tanya spent the last ten years living in Edinburgh, where she met Scottish groom Steven, “I always knew I wanted to get married at home in Sunderland...and with the help of my mum, the internet and some excellent contacts I managed to plan my perfect day without any hitches!”
Set at the magnificent Seaham Hall, Tanya and Steven created a day to remember with classic red, white and black colouring and elegant details.
We love the bride’s fashion forward Ian Stuart dress and headpiece, Gina shoes and the rich red of her rose bouquet from Claire de Lune in Chester Le Street.
The men were dressed in hired suits from Slaters in Newcastle and the maids wore super stylish dresses from Karen Millen.
“We wanted to have little touches that represented our backgrounds, so the men wore smart black kilts and, as I’m half Indian, we served Indian sweets after desert”
At the reception guests were treated to Jo Malone favours and partied Vegas-style with a casino table for entertainment.
The fabulous black and white cake was created by Celebration Cakes and fitted perfectly with the day’s theme.
